THE COMPOSITE MATERIAL IS MADE OF CELLULOSE FIBRE MIX, BASED MAINLY ON FLAX FIBRE. RAW MATERIAL SELECTION IS AIMED AT ENSURING THAT THE OBTAINED COMPOSITE MATERIAL IS CHARACTERIZED WITH HIGH STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY AND ADHESION AND WITH HYDROPHYLIC PROPERTIES ENABLING BIO-DEGRADATION UNDER PROPER CONDITIONS (INCREASED HUMIDITY, TEMPERATURE AND THE PRESENCE OF MICROORGANISMS).

The main advantage of the material is its high biodegradability. The packaging, after fulfilling its intended use, can be easily composted and with time it will safely decompose into elements that are harmless to the environment (like oxygen and hydrogen) and which will naturally re-enter the biological cycle. Such packaging may also be safely burnt (waste incineration) with no risk of poisoning with toxic smoke. Unlike plastic materials, linen is a renewable and domestically available material.
